If You Have More Than 2 Drinks a Week, You Might Want to Read This

In light of the holiday season, a new study finding that 90 percent of heavy drinkers are not, in fact, alcoholics, is welcome news for those of us who have ever imbibed recreationally with the sole intent to get drunk—not that we, or you, ever have, of course. The National Survey on Drug Use and Health, which surveyed 138,000 adults, concluded that nine out of ten people who drink "too much" are not actually addicts, and that drinking to get drunk is not alcoholic behavior (wherein college kids everywhere let out a massive sigh of relief). That's not to say excessive drinking isn't still a problem, but at least it may be a much less difficult one to remedy than alcohol addiction.
