My last post from NYFW! Day five of New York Fashion Week was a bit cooler than the previous days so I was able to layer on one of my new favorite jacket, the Keira suedette tassle jacket by Boohoo! Between the fringe and the deep wine color, I couldn’t be more in love! Making the jacket the statement of my look, I framed the show-stopper with some of my favorite black staples, Free People pleated vegan skort and Everlane silk sleeveless top, and layerd on my go-to black and gold accessories, PF Free People Mylan vegan crossbody, Miu Miu square catwalk sunglasses, and my coveted Billabong wool felt boho hat.
My top runway shows of the day included the Vivienne Tam Spring-Summer 2015 Runway Show, Taoray Wang Spring-Summer 2015 Runway Show, and Dennis Basso Spring-Summer 2015 Runway Show. Scroll down for all the details!
SHOP THE LOOKVivienne Tam Spring Summer 2015 Runway Show
Vivienne Tam’s Spring 2015 Collection was inspired by the decorative treasure of the Ming and Qing dynasties, such as pictorial porcelains depicting otherworldly landscapes and scenes from nature. The traditional patterns were printed on textured cottons, eyelet lace, and power-mesh with laser cut applique overlays. Rendered in both natural and hi-tech materials, the collection paired feminine silhouettes with strong, structured pieces.
Taoray Wang Spring-Summer 2015 Runway Show
Taoray Wang’s Spring 2015 Collection emphasized the style and power of successful women in all walks of life. Taoray merges Asian culture with European influences, resulting in unique, elegant designs with global appeal.
Dennis Basso Spring-Summer 2015 Runway Show
Dennis Basso’s Spring 2015 Collection was inspired by the luxury resorts of the Mediterranean in the sixties. A moment where fashion was headed towards a new spirit of lightness and playfulness. For the modern woman, Dennis Basso worked with playsuits, tunic tops, and capris made from rosegold metallic jacquards, linen, and white organza topped with alligator and sable jackets. Evening looks featured florals done in chiffon, mesh gazaar, and soft green and grey cloques with accents of delicate embroidery.
