Not just exclusive to cocktail recipes, slush can also be added to beer – a perfect alternative for those with less of a sweet tooth!

Beer slushies are a trend that originated in Japan – made using the Japanese beer brand Kirin.

The beer is poured into a machine that chills it and turns it into slush. A separate beer is then poured, which the machine uses to create the beer’s whippy head.

The slushy beer is then served in a standard pint glass and the result is a freezing cold beer with a head the texture of a slush puppy. The frozen top is designed to keep the beer extra cold in hot weather for an estimated 30 minutes longer than normal!
