Last Friday it was confirmed that luck has truly been on my side as of late. Not only did I find out that I had won a small amount of money on a premium bond (bought for me in the early 90s!) in 2008 earlier this week, but I was also contacted by the lovely people over at Stylight saying I had been picked as one of the ten Hotpicks competition winners! I just could not believe it. I never usually win anything so was completely taken aback by surprise. It was only after reading the e-mail through no less than 3 times and seeing this article in the Stylight online magazine that I let myself indulge in a celebratory dance.
When I first signed up to Stylight, I was introduced to a creative shopper's heaven and didn't need much encouragement to start creating some of my own fashion boards on the website. Ten fashion boards were then picked to win and the creator of each, received a very generous 200euro (£170) ASOS shopping voucher! Congratulations to all the other winners too, can't wait to see what you all buy!
This being my first order with Asos in nearly 3 years, I spent a good few hours browsing the store, before picking out the three items above. I thought really carefully about how I wanted to put the voucher to use and decided that I'd like to get some good basics that I can wear over and over again. I don't own many pairs of jeans, so thought these high waisted deep blue denim ones would be a great edition to my wardrobe alongside a new pair of leather sandals (that have been top of my wish list since the short encounter England had with the sun last week). I also picked up a cute little baseball style top which I just know will go with everything!
With the remainder of my voucher I plan to keep a close eye on Asos for more basics and lovely things in the near future and of course will do another mini haul when the time comes.
