Natasha Dos Santos

And I shall return.

My university halls (Glasney Parc J block) - front of building.
It has been 10 months since I last wrote here and this (see photograph above) is where I was held voluntarily captive! My disappearance was not by mere mistake but coincides, not surprisingly, with the date I moved to Falmouth University for my first year as a mature student. This was my block in the university's on campus accommodation (more comfortingly known as Glasney Student Village) where I lived, laughed and shed the odd/many tears from last September.
As timed consumed and reasonably fulfilled as I was, my 'university life' lacked on the outside-of-the-course-interests front, which is why I have made it quite my mission to get my little space here back up and running, refreshed and ready to be carried forward with me into my 2nd year at university!
For those of you who may have forgotten (easily done when a person ups and leaves for months on end without warning) my name is Natasha Rose and I am consciously aware that I am nearing ever closer to the wrong side of 25 this year. If you're still scratching at your head then my twitter & lookbook accounts come highly recommended (for that all important personality check, visuals & a showcase of my ability to dress myself...)

my bedroom window!
Now to address more immediate matters, I think I am suffering from universitysickness (like homesickness but in reverse), for I am missing my little home from home now that this first year is over and my flat is never to be seen internally ever again. It gave me everything I needed aside from free food prepared by someone else, yes I mean you mother, and living on campus cannot come recommended enough. Rolling out of bed and making it, within the space of 5 minutes, to lectures became a living reality that I am happy to claim I took as my specialist, obviously non-sterotypical student, approach to getting into class on a near daily basis. My bedroom, with whom has seen me through the cliche of both times good and bad, was located on the back of the building one floor up and served me very well between freshers right up to what, can only be described as, a bittersweet end to first year.
If I put into my blog as much effort as I am putting into missing halls (easily done when your fighting an accumulation of 'stuff' that no longer fits into your bedroom at home)then we shall be well and truly on our way, of which I would hope you'd also like to tag along!
