Byblos Geometry Time

The Byblos Milano Spring/Summer 2015 collection is defined by their extremely detailed and innovative geometric prints. The prints have two main inspirations: Bauhaus, an art school in Germany and architecture, which have been re-collaborated creating technical textures and new ethnic moods.

The “sporty-chic” collection pair’s vibrant colors with black and white creating refined prints and patterns. The first few designs that came down the runway were paired with different shades of orange and turquoise. The color combination continued adding bright colors to the black and white basis with garments pairing orange and fuchsia, and additions of bright fluorescent yellow and orange. The color scheme for this collection is perfect for the spring summer months!

The distinct prints of the collection can be separated into three groups. The first few designs focused on a web-like geometric pattern, which is seen in a black and white dress with orange detailing and also in an edgy burnt orange biker vest. The next noticeable print was the 3D geometric triangle print seen in a black, white, and orange crop top with striped sheer sleeves at the beginning and a fit-and-flare dress with black and fuchsia straps seen in the middle. The final print of the collection was a tribal print with small triangles, arrows, and stripes. This final print brought most of the ethnic mood into the collection. The ethnic references used throughout the collection helped create visionary 3D effects and advanced geometrics prints. The volumes, which are also created by these innovative prints and distinct pleats, are extremely complex and endless.

The pure silhouettes created and perfectly crafted lines define the collection’s style. The collection was very diverse with very feminine pieces as well as pieces with a bit more edge. This unique collection has a lot to offer for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 Season.
