off the shoulder

When we were in Hume Lake last week I kept my outfits pretty simple. We spent a good amount of time by the lake so my outfits usually consisted of a swimsuit but when we went to get food I needed a dress that was easy to throw on. I've always loved how effortless off-the-shoulder dresses are. They make me think of beautiful women in Europe who shop at the neighborhood markets for fresh flowers and homemade bread. There's a sophistication there. So, even if you're just being a lazy bum like me at the beach, you can still feel put together in this kind of a dress. The outfit is simple with just three pieces {dress, sandals and sunglasses} but the lace sleeves of the dress and the pinky peach color keeps it interesting!

How was your weekend everyone? Saturday I took care of some errands, planned menus for the week and did some cooking and Sunday we spent in Long Beach with my family. It was such a hot day and I think my shoulders got a little tan. I need a little more color though before I can say I got a summer tan!
