Gray is the New Black

While I'm a big fan of bright and bold colors, neutrals play a big part in my life. I feel like whites and black provide a perfect base and then you can always add on the color or personality if you like, whether it’s a white couch with overdyed green pillows, or a little black dress with a statement gold necklace. While black and white are pretty perfect, their baby, gray, has become a favorite of mine. My style is feminine and soft so oftentimes black is a bit too harsh for me. Gray is a little softer than straight up black, which I like, but it works when white might feel inappropriate {cough your friend's wedding!}. Right now I love dark grays that have a little earthiness in it… grays that are moody and bold yet still soft and approachable. It seems contradictory but it’s really just the sign of a perfect gray. I love that gray makes a statement on its own but would still compliment other color perfectly. Here are some images that are leaving me totally inspired, from home to fashion to beauty. I love that there are so many ways this color can be incorporated into your life. It’s giving me all sorts of ideas for a fun project I’m working on!
