Tissue Paper Pom Poms Tablescape

At LinenTablecloth, we love to see tables draped with colorful tablecloths, but lately we’ve been seeing a lot of beautiful table settings on popular wedding blogs taking a more simplistic approach. A common trend is for brides and wedding planners to use a handsome, bare wooden table with nothing but a runner and some pretty decor. In our most recent tablescape, we did just that! A simple table without much color allows for bright accents to really pop.

We just got in a very nice selection of tissue paper pom poms which are perfect for giving your venue or individual table settings a nice pop of color. For our vintage inspired pink tablescape, we selected a multi-hued pink color palette featuring pink, fuchsia, and peach, with white for contrast. The photo below highlights this color combination:

To accent the light wood of the table, we hung those paper pom poms above the tablescape with ribbon. Nothing too fancy, we just attached the white satin ribbon to the tissue paper pom poms with simple adhesive. In terms of table decor, we went with gold chargers, coral napkins, and matching florals in small glass terrariums. Gold or silver are great accent colors that tend not to dominate the color scheme. Also, we used a white lace table runner to bring out the white in the china and pom poms.

Complete with standard wine glasses and our new black candle lanterns as a centerpiece, this tablescape proves that sometimes thinking small is a good idea. As long as your colors pair well, you don’t need to overload your tablescape with fancy decor. This way, you can cut down on costs while maintaining a great aesthetic for your wedding or other event. After all, a table is first and foremost for eating right? Going the simple route with table decorations means your guests will have more elbow room when eating, as well as a clear line of sight to the other guests. Environment is key in wedding planning–the best tablescapes look fantastic but don’t get in the way!

What do you think of our vintage inspired pink tablescape? Love it? Hate it? Let’s talk table settings in the comment section below!
