Inspiration Board: All That Glitter

Glitter is the perfect addition to any event! It’s glamorous, pretty, and classy!

But, if it’s not used correctly it can come off cluttered or distracting…

So, I put together this inspiration board to show how you can add sparkle to an event without over doing it. Each of these ideas include a glitter element complemented by subtle tones to balance out the ambience.

A great way to dress up your table is to use either a glittered drapery backdrop or sequin tablecloth (we are planning on carrying champagne sequin tablecloths soon, make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be one of the first to find out when). If you decide to do this it’s important to make sure your centerpiece and any other tablescape decor is very simple. Too much glitter will throw the balance off and may be overbearing. If you would like to use glitter in an even more subtle way you can do the opposite and use basic linens with shimmery decor. Some decor items that you can sparkle up are table numbers, any glassware (which we will also start carrying soon), name cards, and garlands.

Other ways to make your wedding stand out using glitter include the attire, food (I love the glitter glazed donuts pictured above, if you can bake pretty well you can just buy edible glitter at an online store like Wilton.com and create it yourself), invitations, or even props for photos. One more plus to sparkly items is that it’s so easy to do yourself. If you can’t find a specific product that already comes in a glitter style you can just buy a basic neutral color of the product and add glitter to it.

What do you guys think about including some sparkle in your event theme? Also, would you like to see some DIY projects incorporating glitter from us? Let us know!
