Korres Botanically Coated Blush in #44 Orange

I am a fan of anything that is natural and Korres is known for its natural products. A while ago, I made a purchase through Strawberrynet and luckily, I got this blush for free with my purchase. I was excited to try my first Korres product. The color that they were offering was orange.
Korres description of the product:
· A satiny powder blush with a soft, creamy texture · Contains an exclusive botanical blend of phytosteroles, soy & licorice · Offers an easy, uniform & buildable application · Gives a sleek, natural & radiant finish · Free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances & phthalates
My first impression of this was that it can be perfect summer blush. Matte orange color (without any shimmer or glitter). However, it turned out to be very very sheer, more than I expected. The texture of the blush is true to its claim. It is velvety but not creamy. More like a mix of both, powder & velvet, can feel like powdery cream to touch. It doesn't highlight my pores or any other flaws. :P
I can say it is very good for any skin type. I have an extremely dry skin and this doesn't irritate or flake up. The packaging is simple and easy to handle. However, I keep this in a palette and you can see that I have deported it and was very easy to depot. The color pigmentation is, like I said, extremely sheer, barely there.
It is good if you are looking for a natural makeup look, during day time and for office. It was very difficult to capture the pigment on my camera, for the life of me I tried & I tried in every light, every setting, just couldn't get it to show properly. What you can see is almost 14-15 swipes and still no color – that sheer it is.
I cannot say about the sleek, radiant finish that it claims to give, but it is definitely natural. No color is anyway natural. I use it with Real Techniques blush brush {which makes it more sheer, haha}. However, using fingers can help in building up the color. But again, no matter how much you apply, it still won’t be enough. Although, using it wet could be considered, but I don’t prefer wet blushes – I have cream blushes to take care of that.
Overall, this blush is very pretty, au-naturel both with its ingredients and with its look. BUT I would not recommend it. I prefer bold colors, it should be visible at least! It might show on very very fair ladies – I am NW25 and this DOES NOT show, at all! The product does not contain any harmful ingredients which is a BIG PLUS! Perhaps other colors in the range can be tried, but this one is a pass from me.
Rating – 3/5
Repurchase – No. Might try other colors.
This can be bought online on Strawberrynet (ships worldwide) for $26.50 for 6 gms.
Cheers!
