Face of the Day & My first attempt at Face Charts

First time, sorry for the mistakes :P

more face charts in the making :)
I am obsessed with face charts. Today I finally tried to create one on my own & it was full of flaws :P. Although, I am not very good at them at the moment, they are still so much fun and great to just grab and put your ideas on them. I found some great face charts online but wanted to draw them on my own on a thick sheet. So, I drew some from brands like MAC, Stila, Urban Decay etc. My favorite is the one by Urban Decay. My least favorite is by MAC, even though they are most popular and used ones. I agree with that, but the face bothers me. She (face) reminds me of Cruella the devil from 101 Dalmatians movie. Don’t you think? Anyway, here is my first attempt at the makeup on paper look.
This is what I wore today. Did get the face drawing to be good, but couldn’t quite get the makeup look onto the paper properly. Now I know so will be careful from next time. Notice the smudged mascara :P but that’s the reality isn’t it. Smudged mascara, I cannot for the life of me apply mascara properly without getting even a tiny smudge.
With face charts you have the benefit of writing/drawing all your ideas in one place. You can use them whenever you want to (re)create a certain look without the trouble of remembering all of them. Saves lot of time and effort. I am going to start using them in my day to day life. I am planning to create 6-7 looks i.e. one per day for every week before hand. This will save so much of my time plus I won’t have to go back to a single (go-to) look when I am in hurry & my mind is not working for new ideas. It happens with me, I think of a look every time but when time comes, I am in a rush & I just cannot recall even a single thing. I end up with my same boring look every day. I believe face charts will be very helpful in dealing with this. Plus, I will be able to use more of the makeup products I own & not just a very few I stick to.
I do have learned what the color is on paper is very different from what it is going to be on you. But this again saves time, you still have some idea of what you want & then you can work around it when you actually want to create that look.
Here’s my look for today on paper. You can see the eyelids look brown but on me it was very sheer with a subtle hint of shimmer and brown. The basic was to achieve a look of shimmery highlighted eyes with bold pink lips on a well- hydrated semi-matte skin (hence, not set with powder – also, I have extremely dry skin thus, I rarely powder my face).
So, now you have an idea what this face chart is trying to represent. I would upload my own face as well but that is when I am able to get a camera to capture every tiny detail properly. Pardon, my mistakes as this is my first time. Won’t post a face chart again until I get it right. J Thank you for understanding.
