Gem Bag Tag

Crush that feeling you get when you walk into a room and someone’s rocking the same frock or toting the same tote by following these three simple rules: personalize, personalize, personalize. These gem inspired bag tags glam up your gear and add that extra pop of color that sets you apart from the crowd.

To create: Use a sharpie and ruler to draw a 3″ x 8″ rectangle and another 1″ x 16″ strip onto the backside of the leather. Cut out the two shapes with sharp fabric scissors then snip a small opening at the center of the rectangle. Apply a thin line of leather glue along the sides of the rectangle shape and carefully fold over. Let the glue dry for a few minutes then use scissors to trim off the edges to convert the rectangle into a gem shape. Use a gold sharpie and draw gem details onto the surface of the leather (use a ruler for precision). String the leather strip through the small opening on the gem and loop it through the handle.
