Yes I’m still alive! Only just as it’s been a damn busy few weeks and since getting back from our Gold Coast trip. Been meaning to post this, and finally did it – my QTFWA diary.

QTFWA (QT Fashion Week and Awards) was held earlier this month at the QT Hotel Gold Coast. It was a jam packed week full of fashion, runway shows, lots of food, great weather and awesome people.

Now before y’all in Melbourne or Sydney get all judgey about who runs the fashion game, we know it’s you two – and Gold Coast, while known for its tropical, surfer and relaxed environment – fashion may not have always been its strongest point but it’s definitely on its way.

It was refreshing to see how it’s come a long way and adapting to its markets – but let’s not forget it isn’t called Surfer’s Paradise for no reason. QTFWA organizer Michaela Fitzgerald is shaping the way the eternal summer dwellers see and wear fashion, one fashion week at a time.

Jesse and were fortunate enough o be QTFWA’s special guests for the week, and loved the Gold Coast so much we did extend our stay. Staying in the premium king suite at the QT Gold Coast – and with the world’s best buffet in the same building (review coming up) – how could we leave and head back to dreary, drizzly Melbourne weather? Well, at some point – we had to.

We had an amazing time during our stay – and a much needed, well-deserved break (it had only been about four years since we last relaxed) – thanks to QT Hotels and QTFWA.
