Remember when baby doll dresses and tops were a thing?
I can almost taste the ZARA children’s baby doll top I used to wear along with those tattoo chokers, coming home from elementary school to play Sims 2 and listen to the Pussycat Dolls. Ah, golden times.
I actually distinctly remember owning a metal choker necklace in grade one, which I loved to fidget with so much that I would put the metal ends of it in my ears like headphones, and one day I put the choker too far into my ears and had to be send home because lo and behold, my ears started bleeding. Ever since then chokers were off limits for me, but considering the fact that 12 years have passed, I’m not quite sure if I’m still grounded. I think I’ll play it safe though, if anyone asks me if I like chokers I’ll reply with “why yes but I can’t go within 50 feet with a choker necklace, my parents grounded me in 2002.”

But I digress. This is the second look from my ASOS wedding campaign, and I’m not sure what struck me to tie this vintage scarf around my neck, but when I did my face turned into the heart-eyes emoji, because it just works.
Buy a vintage scarf, tie it around your neck with your blouses, dresses, sweaters, t-shirts, whatever- get creative. It’s so school-girl chic that I can’t even contain the love I possess.
