Diario de Viaje a Berlín

¡Hola! Vamos hoy con mi diario de viaje a Berlín de la mano de mis fotos sacadas con el iphone. No quedan tan bonitas como las que saco con mi Canon pero le dan un punto de realismo a estos diarios. ¿Qué pensáis? Comenzamos el viaje en la Terminal 4 del aeropuerto de Barajas que ahora se llama Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas, un nombre que por otro lado me parece confuso, poco comercial e innecesario, pero bueno, sus razones de peso tendrá. El vuelo era tarde así que me vino genial para poder aprovechar el día de trabajo. En el aereopuerto me cogí provisiones para la noche y ¡rumbo a Berlín!
Hello! Let's go today with my iphone diary of my recent trip to Berlin. I know iphone pictures doesn't look as nice as the ones with the Canon but I think these pictures make the trip a little more real and that is the point of these diaries. What do you think about it? The trip starts at the Barajas Adolfo Suarez airport. I really don't like the new name since I find it confusing and unnecessary but I guess there must be strongest reasons for it. The flight was at the end of the day so I it was good that it didn't break my working day.

Últimamente, cuando viajo por trabajo, aprovecho muchísimo el rato en el avión (de hecho este texto lo estoy escribiendo mientras vuelo). Antes solía dormirme o leer alguna revista, pero desde que Nacho se hizo con el Macbook Air, dedico las horas a continuar mi trabajo. Y me llama la atención porque antes, cuando veía a gente trabajando con el ordenador, pensaba: “Qué máquina. Ni en el avión descansa...” Y mira por dónde ahora me veo yo en esa situación. Requiere un poco de fuerza de voluntad, porque echarse una cabezada llama bastante, pero es una gozada aprovechar el tiempo así y volver a casa con la sensación de haber adelantado trabajo.
Lately, when I travel for work, I spend my time at the plane working (in fact, I am writing this while in the heights). Before I used to sleep or read some magazines but since Nacho got a MacBook Air, I spend the time working. It is funny that before, when I saw people working, I used to think: “WOW, they don't even rest in the plane...” and the funny thing is that I see myself in that position now. I requires a little will, but it is great to take advantage of that time and get some work done.

La llegada a Berlín no tuvo complicaciones. Disfruté muchísimo viendo la ciudad de noche desde el taxi y fijándome en los edificios y en sus impresionantes ventanales. Si algo tiene Berlín es que es una ciudad urbanísticamente bien pensada. Hay espacio y la gente, se intuye, vive bien, no hacinada o en mini apartamentos. ¡Es grandiosa!
La llegada al hotel no fue tan bonita... Si os digo la verdad, me dio un poco de miedo. El hotel era Michelberger Hotel, un hotel moderno y peculiar donde los haya y con aires sombríos.
The arrival was easy and I enjoyed a lot looking at the city at night from the taxi window. I love the big buildings and bigger windows. Berlin is one of those cities that are well designs and you can easily tell.

Cuando entré en mi habitación me dio la sensación de ser un lugar muy original, muy conceptual, pero quizá poco acogedor. La habitación era muy curiosa, mezcla de camarote de barco de pesca, con futones a lo japonés, minimalismo y un punto industrial. En cuanto le di a la calefacción me fui encontrando más a gustito.
Me metí en la cama con un poco de miedo a que alguien entrara por la puerta. Me había llamado la atención que tanto en la puerta de la habitación como en el manual de reglas del hotel, hacían especial hincapié en que había que cerrar bien la puerta de la habitación. Así que claro, para una miedosa como yo, eso era doble alarma, mas cuando en un momento dado, había bajado al hall y al subir de nuevo a la habitación, me había encontrado la puerta abierta... ☺ Uhhhh! #scary
My first feeling at the hotel was a scary one. I was staying at Michelberger hotel. It is a very modern and conceptual hotel, but less cozy for that matter. The room was really weird, a mix of a fishing boat with Japanesse futon, minimalistic and with a industrial flare to it. As soon as I turned the heater one, I started to feel much better. :) I went to bed a little scared thinking that someone was going to enter in my room after the warnings that I saw in the room door. Needless to say that I am a faint-hearten type of person.

Dormí de lujo, súper calentita y sin quitarme de la cabeza a mi abuela de 96 años pensando en que, con esas escaleras tan arriesgadas que subían a la cama, aquel hotel definitivamente, era para gente joven y ágil y no para mi abuela. ☺
I slept really well and thinking that hotel, with those tricky stairs to the bed, was definitely for a young and flexible crowd and not for my 96 years old grandma. ☺

El desayuno (veánse abajo las fichas para pedir el desayuno) fue en el comedor del hotel que era maravilloso. Me encantó la decoración, ¡qué cosa tan bonita! Con la luz del día, me fijé en detalles del hotel que me gustaron mucho y en rinconcitos que lo hacían muy especial.
Breakfast was super nice in a beautiful dinning room. I really enjoyed the decoration. With the daylight I could enjoy some of the nice corners of the hotel.

Me vino a buscar Irene, de Zalando y nos fuimos a las oficinas a empezar el rodaje. ¡Qué barbaridad el edificio de Zalando! Imaginároslo enorme, de ladrillo, con pintadas, muy industrial y decorado muy funcional y con un toque moderno. En la entrada un montón de bicis, un medio de transporte tan habitual en Berlín.
Irene, from Zalando, came to pick me up and we headed to the Zalando building to start the shooting. The building was impressive: a big brick structure with a very functional decoration. At the entrance a lot os bicycles, a pretty common means of transportantion in Berlin.

Comenzamos el día con una sesión de maquillaje y peluquería de la mano de Julie. ¡Qué tia más maja! Me lo pasé genial hablando con ella mientras nos contábamos nuestra vida y milagros. Y lo mejor es que me acertó completamente con el maquillaje y el peinado. Me pareció súper profesional y realmente preocupada en que siguiera siendo yo misma y no disfrazarme. Esto parece una tontería pero es de las pocas veces que me han hecho maquillaje y pelo que no me han transformado. Y en realidad tiene mucho más mérito porque cambiar algo radicalmente es más fácil que entender una esencia y mejorarla. En fin, me quedé feliz y sobre todo aprendí un par de peinados muy en mi línea que intentaré seguir poniendo en práctica.
I started the day with a make up and hair session with Julie. Oh my god! What a great woman !I had such a blast with her! She was really professional and really concern about keeping myself as I am without overdoing me. This looks like a simple thing to do but it is actually hard. Transforming oneself into something different it is pretty easy but keeping one's essence and improve it is much more complicated. I was really happy with her work and I learn a couple of hairdos that I will try to do myself.

Seguimos con el rodaje de los vídeos. No os puedo explicar cómo tenían todo montado de bien. Aluciné de verdad con la iluminación del estudio, colocación de cámaras, etc. Y más con lo que ahora me interesa todo esto para mis vídeos. Un 10 para Arne que era el realizador.
El rodaje fue muy bien. Yo reconozco que estaba un poco tensa a ratos por querer hacerlo lo mejor posible, pero la verdad es que me lo pusieron muy fácil con cero presión de tiempos y ayudándome a tomar decisiones mientras grabábamos. Al terminar, me sentí bastante contenta. Para mí no dejaba de ser un reto lo que tenía que hacer y conseguirlo siempre te llena de satisfacción. En realidad fue un bonito trabajo de equipo. Lo pasamos súper bien a pesar de las horas que nos dieron y hubo hasta lágrimas de la risa. Un día de 10. Ya os iré contando en qué consiste el proyecto, pero de momento hay que esperar un poquito. ☺
We continued with the shooting. I really liked the way the studio was arranged. I give an 10 to Arne who was the director of the shooting. Everything went smooth and perfect. I was a little stressed at some points trying to do the things the best way possible, but both Anja and Julie made it really easy with no time pressure and helping me make decisions when necessary. I was pretty happy when we finished. This job was challenging to me and being able to finish it right was rewarding. In fact, it was a great team work. We had great time even though it took us a long time to shoot and we laugh a lot too. It was definitely, a great day, I will keep you posted on what we did but I can not share more for now. #topsecret

De vuelta en el hotel, volví a mi ordenador y a leer algunos de vuestros comentarios a los posts mientras me tomaba un Chai Late impresionante y un brownie superable. ☺ Al día siguiente me esperaba la vuelta a casa. ¡Qué ganas de ver a mis chiquiturris!
Back to the hotel, I went back to my computer and to delicious chai latte. My trip back home was around the corner. I couldn't wait to see my little ones!
