Ruby Red Kiss

Hello again dolls! I am so happy I am able to update my blog again so soon, I am going to try my hardest to stay on top of it. Expressing myself in this form means WAY too much to me to just half ass it! That being said, expect more and more updates as this year proceeds. I am in the midst of making some positive changes in my life in regards to my dreams. I need to stay motivated and productive; and this is the perfect outlet for me to do it.
I laid out a few aspects of my outfit above, I was still putting together the full look when I shot these; but I knew what I wanted my key pieces to be. Piling on the layers is usually a pretty go-to thing for me while getting dressed. Especially in the winter! I love the details that form in the process of doing so. A few key aspects of this outfit: red, white (cream?) and blue! One of my favorite classic color combinations, Patriotic, right?

This is my first time shooting in my new boots from TjMaxx! I found them on sale, which is always awesome. I have been dying for a low heel, lace up bootie; especially in brown! A very simple and classic shoe style that could easily be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come. They are so versatile in ways to style!

I layered up my mothers classic denim jacket under my Forever21 faux fur vest, which you have already seen in a previous post. Adding a vest seriously improves staying warm when facing the cold winds! All the while making a regular coat that much more chic ;-)
My striped top is from H&M, and I originally purchased it as a turtle neck dress a few years back (kicking myself a bit now for cutting out the high neck) but it still works! I still love the navy stripes and the off the shoulder look brings a little sass to it, and you know I love a little sass.

My high waist jeans you have already seen as well. They are from Forever21 as well and are quickly becoming my preferred pair of pants! As for my accessories...my belt, bag, and scarf tied to my bag, are all vintage. I adore the pop of color that any perfect accessory can add to an outfit! My gold layered necklace is thrifted and my choker is from a local flea market. As for my makeup, I kept it clean with just mascara and a bold lip. I got this lip color after combining my hot pink and neon orange shades to make a pretty reddish color, both lipstick brands are CoverGirl.
