Red Carpet Royalty: Oscars 2014

Did any of you watch the Oscars last night? I’ll be honest, I usually only watch award shows to gawk at what people are wearing. Although, the Oscars, to me, are one of the best events of it’s kind because movies hold a very special place in my life. I used to dream of being an actress… Sometimes I still do. Below, is what I would have worn on the red carpet. A beautiful, white, Mignon , draped evening gown. Simplicity and elegance are all wrapped up in one with this dress, which features gathering in all the right places and embroidered cap sleeves. I would pair this with a metallic, white leather sandal and simply silver, textured clutch; both by Jimmy Choo. The jewelry is by Alexis Bittar and is part of his Midnight Marquise collection. Both pieces are sold at Neiman Marcus. I adore strong eye makeup and this Dior 5-color eye shadow palette has all the right shades for a light day-time look and layering for a more mysterious, night out, face. Accompanied by a stand-by blush (NARS Orgasm) and a nude lip gloss.

I also wanted to share with you my favorite looks from the red carpet on some of the hottest celebs in the business! J-Law, wearing a gorgeous Dior gown and Neil Lane diamonds, stole the show for me. It was a bold, yet simplistic, look that really accentuated her figure, height, and beautiful collar bones/shoulders. One of the best looks I’ve seen her in BY FAR. I’m still not a huge fan of her short, blonde hair but, it did definitely work with her overall ensemble.
Emma Watson, looked positively stunning in her Vera Wang, floor length dress. A shimmery, charcoal matched with a red lipstick gave her a mature, charming, and effortless glam.
Amy Adams was on fire in her navy, form-fitting, 40′s inspired gown and updo hair style. She has a great shape and this vintage look worked well to show off all of her best assets. Only Gucci Couture could do it justice.
Sally Field might be 67 but, she doesn’t look like ANYONE’s grandma! Her Randi Rahm, semi-sheer, black, embellished gown was one of the most adorable, modest gowns I’ve seen. It’s definitely something that I would wear if I were attending such an event. Her style is current, sophisticated, and (as the photo shows) fabulous.
Sandra Bullock has a lot to be proud of seeing as how her movie ‘Gravity’ won numerous awards last night. But, before they even announced the first Oscar, she had every right to be proud of the way she looked! Wearing my favorite designer, Alexander McQueen, accompanied by Lorraine Schwartz jewels, she looked confident and as feminine as ever.
