Winter Lust List

Happy December, everyone! I am starting this month off in such a mess. I am currently laid up because I have developed a terrible abscess and an infection to match. I am in so much pain and have been running a fever of 100-102 for the last couple of days. I’ll spare you my dehydration induced Princess Diana hallucinations… Needless to say, I’m headed back to the doctor today. But, I promised a post today and a wishlist is what you get. :) Sometimes I get a wild hair up my you-know-what and think that other bloggers out there have an endless supply of money and can just purchase new products left and right. Then, I bring myself back to earth and realize that most of you are like me and pinch your pennies until you can treat yourself. So, I decided to make a list of things I’d like to purchase over the winter, instead of just this month. A mixture of treats that I will justify purchasing as time goes by, since I know we already have some pre-existing dues to pay.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner I am hearing a lot of buzz on social media about this liner; from how precise it is, to the high-pigmentation, to the long wear time. This is also the go-to liner for one of my current beauty guru faves, NikkieTutorials. I have also seen this used in a tutorial by Kat Von D herself. It looks extremely easy to apply and might just help me achieve the perfect cat-eye look I’m always seeking. The sleek design and function is so different from my L’oreal Blackbuster (which I love); I can’t wait to try it and change-up my look. NARS Blush in “Zen” Since the beginning of the year I’ve been looking for a nice, neutral blusher color. I’ve tried a few but somehow they always end up being more pink than I’d like. But, in the winter months, especially with a bronze contour, I don’t always like my cheeks to look like I just got in from the cold. I’d rather look like I just got home from a cruise. I love NARS because of the high quality of their products and I’m hoping that this blush ends up being another favorite. Bath & Body Works Winter Candles I kinda cheated by leaving these on the list since I already bought them last night. But, can you blame me? They were on sale 2 for $22, plus I had a coupon that allowed me to get one free item up to $13 with my purchase. For cyber Monday they are having an equally intriguing sale! Get all 3 wick candles for $9 using the code “HEYMONDAY”; that code also gives you 25% off your entire order online. If you are as into seasonal scents as I am and are looking for a couple of new ones, please check out their winter selection! Tons to choose from and BBW rarely disappoints. Lime Crime Velvetines in “Red Velvet” Lime Crime is a brand I’ve never purchased but, have had my eye on for ages. Their Velvetines are a liquid lipstick formula that goes on wet and glossy but dries down to a unbudgeable, matte finish. There are nine shades available: Utopia, Red Velvet, Suedeberry, Pink Velvet, Black Velvet, Salem, Wicked, Cashmere, and Pansy. I feel that a lot of the Lime Crime lip products come in colors that aren’t wearable on a daily basis. That said, there is a little something for everyone and “Red Velvet” is definitely striking the right chord with this red lip obsessed girl! Check it out on the lovely Jaclyn Hill below.
MAC “Whirl” Lip Pencil Everyone who is into makeup, even remotely, has heard of this lip pencil and it’s been in the spotlight all the more so recently; after being associated with Kylie Jenner’s iconic look. I’m not much of a lip liner person since I’ve never had a problem with colors bleeding on me. I wonder if that’s because I prefer matte & semi-matte colors…? Anyway, I know I should get some more lip liners since they do account for much of the longevity of your lipstick and prevent fading. While I have a wide variety of lipsticks in my collection the ones I wear most would be excellently complimented by this dusty rose liner; I thought I’d start off with one I know will get a lot of use. If you have this pencil and you love it, please leave me your review in the comments! MAMA BEAR Eco-Blue Hoodie I talked a little bit about LovedByHannahAndEli on the blog in September and I can’t stress enough how much I love supporting small business. I have been dying for one of the many versions of a “Mama Bear” top that Sarah’s been developing one after another. Each time a new design pops out, I think, “Ooh! Maybe I want that one instead!” But, by far, this vibrant blue with gold lettering is calling my name! I wanted to grab it during their Black Friday sale but, by the time I got online, it was sold out. I’ll be waiting (im)patiently for this to restock! Monki Flo Blanket Scarf (via ASOS) Julia from LemonStripes always has the cutest ootd’s posted on her Instagram account. I noticed through connecting with liketoknow.it that she wasn’t promoting the same Zara plaid, blanket scarf that everyone else has been flaunting this fall. (Similar here!) Instead, a moderately different version from ASOS. Unfortunately, when I went on the site to purchase it, I was sold out and not being restocked. However, ASOS now has this lighter, tasseled version and I’m loving it! Could be just the right, warm accessory if we take a trip up to the mountains this month. <3 What’s on your wishlist this season? Is there anything you would add to this list? I’d love to hear from you! Thanks, as always, for reading and supporting my little blog. I’ll be back with another post soon! bloglovin . twitter . instagram
