Our Year in Review – A New Family Tradition w/ Photos from @Posterjack

When we had the house painted, I took down all the pictures and ever since then, the walls have been bare. That was three years ago. I shouldn’t really say pictures because besides this one of the kids that I
received from Posterjack last year*,
I don’t really have any pictures to take down. Considering I’ve taken thousands of photographs of The Kids, I think that’s kind of odd. Even for us.

So, I thought that this year would be different. Instead of having all my pictures neatly named and organized on my computer, I’m going to start a new Family Tradition with “Our Year in Review” shown in pictures.

Posterjack has Something for Everyone on your Shopping List

The hardest part was choosing from all the Print options that Posterjack offers. Everything from; Canvas, Metal, Arcylic, Wood, Gallery Box, Frames, Stickers and Photoboard. Once I decided on the 18″ x 12″ Gallery Frame with a Satin Matte, I saw that they had a collage option and knew that was what I wanted. They had an easy to use Collage Designer application that made things really easy for me.

It took me a while to narrow down the photographs that I wanted to include as I’d chosen a design with 17 pictures, however, there were many different ones I could have chosen from. Once that was done, within 10 minutes, I had uploaded all my pictures, drag and dropped them into place and customized my order. I was even able to add text and the application told me if the picture I selected didn’t have a high enough resolution to be printed.

Quality Prints that you Expect

The photographs were digitally printed on a matte background and the quality as well as the frame was exactly what I expected. Some of the pictures turned out so well that I’m going to order them in a bigger size. One bonus was that my order included a .jpg of the picture so that Uncle Andrew can make it his desktop wallpaper and another surprise was that my order came with a cleaning cloth and Well Wishes from the Staff. A nice added touch.

The Year 2014 at The Zoo will be remembered with the following events and Family moments (from top left moving clockwise); A Balloon for Alexander, Halloween, Portrait of Max, Max on the Swing, Max playing the Drums at Music Class, Portrait of Artemis, Private swimming lessons at our local pool, Artemis as a Butterfly and her Maestra at the Primavera Presentation at her Mexican School, Spending time with Family at the Farm, September Camp, Uncle Andrew and Max at Canada’s Wonderland, Abuelo, Tia Ilka and The Kids, Abeula and Artemis, Nanna, Max and Artemis, Poppa and Max at the Farm, Kids reading in bed together and the centre picture is of The Kids sitting on a Hay Bale at the Farm this Summer.

The only hiccup I had was that the Framed Photos – Gallery Frame I chose comes in 4 different colours, however, I couldn’t find a way to I select which one I wanted. So, I sent Posterjack an email and within an hour had a reply confirming my order and frame colour.

If you’re looking to create or continue on with a Family Tradition of your own, remember to place your order this week so that it will arrive in time for Christmas. Or, select their Priority Overnight option just to be sure**. Remember that shipping is FREE on all orders over $150 in Canada or you can stop by their Production Facility at no additional cost.

The good news is that with all this empty wall space, I have tons of great spots to hang this Family Heirloom. The only problem is that I think it’s time to paint again so in the meantime it will be the focal point of our living room.
