Apparently I’ve been good this year, either that or Staples Canada got tired of seeing my tweets go by because I got a chance to pick a pair out for myself! Since I’m not an overly technically person and have never had quality headphones like this before, I did some research and chose Monster NCredible NTune On-Ear Headphones in Silver
My main requirement was that they be over the ear because I don’t even know how to install the around the back of your neck ones and I get headaches with the ear bud ones. I was pretty sure that I would have to buy something that looked like two pillows attached to my head but technology has come a long way. Now, the headphones weigh only 1.7 pounds and provide incredible noise isolation. So much so that when I’m sitting right beside Ed with no music playing, I can hardly hear what he’s saying. If I’m typing, I can’t at all. And the best part is that I can listen to videos without The Kids coming over to see what I’m watching.
I’ve set the volume to the lowest setting possible and the sound quality is still loud and clear. Based on what I read and experienced, this brand is right up there with it’s competitors especially given the price point. A few other features that it has and I didn’t realize I’d want until I got it was;
Headphones like these are perfect for everyone on your gift list from young Jimmy right up to Great-Great Grandma Ethel. For under $130, you get quality without quantity, a years warranty, choice of vibrant colours and you don’t have to listen to their playlist anymore.
Speaking of which, the final reason why I needed headphones was because of my playlist. Let’s just say that Ace of Base, John Denver, Billy Holiday, ABBA, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bryan Adams and #KennyandDolly (inspired by my sister Jody at Mommy Juiced) aren’t at the top of Ed’s or The Kids playlist. But thanks to Staples and these headphones, I can have my music and listen to it too.
