Tree trunk side table.

With all the bad weather that we had during the winter, and trees falling left right and centre it gave me the idea of turning a piece of tree trunk into a side table for the living room, that and the fact that I've seen a fair few tree trunk side table makeovers floating around on the internet, plus I love the mix of rustic wood and white interiors, wood tones are perfect for adding warmth to a white scheme. So last week after putting out a request on a local community Facebook page for a nice piece of dry tree trunk someone came back to me with just that, four pieces of dry log just sitting there in a garage - perfect!
So after chipping off the remainder of the bark, sanding, waxing the sides and adding a lick of Annie Sloan chalk paint on the top, hey-presto a lovely rustic side table for the living room. My only dilemma is whether to add some castor's on the bottom, because they are a little heavy to move about, but I'm not sure if that would detract from the look or not.
