Every Monday in the month of April, ten of my favorite bloggers (affectionately known as my #BLOGGERBOOS) will share their favorite things about Spring! I’m so glad they’re here to get Spring going on the right foot. This week, my #BLOGGERBOOS share their favorite Spring hairstyles and hair products! Ten Bloggers Share The Best Spring 2014 Hairstyles and Hair Products

    Marie of GOOD LOOK’N OUT
“I love wearing my hair straight in the spring. It’s warm, but not too warm. Since I’ve been natural, I’ve been limited the amount of direct heat on my hair, so I tend to not wear it bone straight. But something about wearing my hair down my back does it for me during the spring!”

    Dhruvi of Stilettos & Sequins
“My go-to hairstyle for Spring is a fishtail braid. Something about it just reminds me of a tropical vacation. My hair is naturally curly/wavy, and I’d love to find a product that can tame & define my curls.”

Courtney of Flyy Coast 2 Coast
“Two-strand twists are the best way to keep my natural moisturized and bouncy during the summer months. This Spring, I am dying to give Curlformers a trial run. I’ve heard that curls from Curlformer sets have really good staying-power. We all know a lot of times curls look different at the end of the day than they do towards the beginning!”

Leslie of Flyy Coast 2 Coast
“Now that my haircut is growing out I would love to return back to my faithful twist outs this spring. Hopefully I can make this happen because I’m growing a bit weary of my wash and go’s. One style I am looking forward to trying this season is something with Marley hair. I’m not usually one for protective styles, I tend to get bored quickly. But trying out a heat free sew-in or Marley braid buns is something I look forward to diving into.”

    Desiree of Brownstone Bazaar
“I recently went to the African market in my Harlem neighborhood and came out with some dope Ankara print fabrics. Lately, I’ve been finding new ways to style my hair around these headwraps. A bantu knot out is also one of my favorite Spring hairstyles and softens up any look. Mine always result in a cute and coily (but incredibly FRIZZY) ‘fro. I’m determined to master a sleeker bantu knot out this Spring. Gotta have goals, right?”

    Tamara of Natural Hair Rules
“I’m totally smitten with Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Curl Defining Cream. It helps me create the perfect 3-Strand twist out every time. Also, I just got word that Eden BodyWorks has expanded the Coconut Shea line to include a hair mask. That is on my wish list, fo sho.”

Ashlei of Kinks Are The New Pink
“My favorite Spring hair product is definitely my DIY Moisturizing Mist (here’s a link to how I make it). I don’t like feeling weighed down by product during the Spring so this mist is the perfect solution as it’s very light but keeps my hair moisturized and the rose water essential lavender oil smells awesome!”

    Kisha of Chronicled
“Except for about three months this past winter, I’ve been rocking thick, long, box braids (inspired by Janet Jackson in Poetic Justice and Solange) for almost two years now….and I see that continuing into the Spring (my hair grows the most when I just braid it and leave it alone). However, I really love the look of big full curls (the bigger the better) and have been wanting to play with a bit of colour (when done right I still love the ombre look!) so maybe this Spring I’ll give the braids a break for a little bit and have some fun with my natural hair or with a fabulous dyed wig.”

GG Renee of All The Many Layers
“My favorite Spring hair product is Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter. Love. Love. Love. My standard hairstyle is a chunky twist out, so I use the Moisture Butter to twist and I seal with an oil or pomade. This keeps my hair moisturized for days without having to add much product. This Spring, I’m trying to master the curly fro, so I’ve been training my hair to go forward and up instead of back, if that makes sense.”

    Sheriden of The Indie Byline
“I am currently rocking my favorite spring hairstyle: Marley twists! Twists have been such a sweet change from my usual afro, and although I’ve tried a lot of styles while wearing (Marley twists), this updo is my absolute favorite at the moment. I’m surprised at how lightweight it feels.”
