Pinot Reduction – My favorite ice cream & cheesecake topping!

There are a hundred ways to top a cheesecake, but only one this delightful {in my book}. This strawberry pinot reduction takes even the basics from boring to glory. Top a cheesecake, shortcake, ice cream, brownie or a waffle with this sauce & your taste buds will never be the same.

This sauce is our Spring/Summer favorite! I serve it at Easter, Mother’s Day, Fourth of July & all too many days in between! It’s such a simple sauce, but offers so much flavor.

Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 20 mins Total time: 25 mins
Ingredients
  • ½ c strawberries, sliced thin
  • ½ c Pinot Noir
  • ½ c sugar

Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan on medium, add strawberries, wine and sugar.
  2. Reduce. As with any reduction, the longer you cook it, the thicker and more syrupy it gets.
