5 Minute Skinny Apple Tart

After apple picking with our family over the weekend, we have an abundance of apples. Be prepared for a variety of recipes using apples far beyond baking. Today is recipe #2 for fall baking week & I’m not sure what you’re going to love more – the caramel flavor, that it takes just 5 minutes or that it’s naturally skinny. This 5 minute skinny apple tart makes a great quick fix to fulfill a dessert craving or a beautiful dessert that will make your guests think you slaved in the kitchen for hours.

Last weekend, my only uncle visited from Delaware. We are currently experiencing the most beautiful fall weather. We made a trip to the zoo, the Hill {I’m so thankful for the incredible Italian food here} & enjoyed a morning of fall fun at the apple orchard. I was amazed that this late in the season, there were still so many apples to pick! As we taught the girls how to select & pick apples, we also took notes how to care for our apple trees. It was fun to see how different trees are pruned at orchards to make the trees more accessible & bountiful. Ours are significantly larger, but don’t offer quite as much fruit. I look forward to seeing how that changes with a little care. I can’t resist sharing a few photos. I hope you don’t mind

Busted.

Let’s do this step by step, shall we?

Place your puff pastry on a sheet pan {I use parchment for ease of removing the tart later}.

Core & slice your apples thin. Line ‘em up!

Sprinkle a cup of brown sugar over the apples.

Crack salt & bake! Things are about to get juicy! Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Chris loves anything covered in powdered sugar. You saw how much our girls adore him. I decided to give him a little extra sugar with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Feel free to add a scoop of custard, but it’s completely unnecessary! At just 100 calories per serving, this recipe is a win-win!

Save this recipe for later & PIN it here:

Have you been apple picking yet this season?
