#69: Preemptive Love

I was so honored to talk to my friends Jeremy and Jessica Courtney for this podcast episode. Along with their two young kiddos, they live and work in Iraq heading up Preemptive Love, an organization that wants to eradicate the backlog of Iraqi children waiting in line for lifesaving heart surgery in pursuit of peace between communities at odds.

But also? They’re regular parents and a lot of fun to chat with. In this episode, we talk food, work, culture, and what it’s like to live as expats in the Middle East.

(If you’re reading this via email, head here to listen to the episode.)

Head here for the show notes—and to read an update from Jeremy, since we recorded this episode before the Fall of Mosul.

The winners of a copy of Atlas Girl are Sarah, Kimberly, Rebekah, Marlo, and Jennifer. Congrats! Look for an email from us soon. Everyone else, head here to grab your copy.
