#74: Pillows matter, man

We’re back with a new podcast! This is the first episode from the road—many of you have asked whether I’ll keep the show going during our round-the-world trip, and the short answer is: yes. It may be more sporatic, since recording depends so heavily on a strong Internet connection. I’ll take advantage of the technology when it’s available, and when it’s not—well, I appreciate your patience. I love doing them as much as you seem to enjoy listening to them.

It was only fitting that I chat with my friend Stephanie Langford for my first international chat. She and her family traveled around the world last year, too—only she had four kids. And one of them was a baby. And they were gone for 54 weeks. (Makes me feel less crazy.)

Last time we podcasted she was in Australia, so now the tables are turned: Stephanie is in Vancouver; I’m currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In this show we chat about traveling with kids (naturally), what it’s like to live out of a backpack, handling reeeeally tight quarters as a larger-ish (for Asia, anyway) family, and what it’s like to work from anywhere.

We also talk about her new project, a website for creative, entrepreneurial families called EntreFamily. I’m so thrilled for a site like this, because I’m pretty much the target audience.

(If you’re reading this via email, head here to listen to the episode.)
