GET THE LOOK: JENNIFER LOPEZ

Today's Get The Look is inspired by the latest cover of InStyle magazine. Jennifer Lopez looks so fresh and vibrant I just had to duplicate this makeup look.

Step 1 and 2: Contouring is key for this look. Especially those like me who are particularly fair, bronze away to get her sunkissed glow. I contoured my cheekbones, jawline, temples and forhead using Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. Then I follow it up with blush on the apples of my cheeks using Tarte in Exposed.

Step 3: Jennifer always has lots of highlighting to create a dewy glow. Start with NARS Albatross and brush it under your eyes, on the cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose. Then use Benefit Watts Up to add any extra glow on areas that you really want to contour. I use it on the cheekbones and sometimes down the bridge of my nose.
Step 4: Dust a brow highlighting shadow on your brow bone and on the inside corners of your eyes. I recently switched to Urban Decay in Zephyr.

Step 5: Use a warm brown eyeshadow base next. I used the left side of the NARS Surabaya Eyeshadow duo. Make a large arch going nearly up to your brown.
Step 6: Blend using a blending brush. This is a great one.

Step 7 and 8: Dust a shimmery gold shadow on top of your base shadow. Line the bottom lid from crease to corner. I used MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Gilt by Association. Next blend using your lovely blending brush, Sigma has a good one too, and then dust off any loose eyeshadow that may have fallen off your brush during application with this guy.

Step 9: If you feel like you need a little liner use a brown pencil to give just a hint of definition for this look. I used NYX Waterproof Retractable liner in Brown.
Step 10: Jennifer ALWAYS wears fake lashes, and this cover is no exception. Apply your lashes using this glue by putting a tiny bit onto the lashes then let it dry for about 30 - 40 seconds before application. This lets it become tacky and ready to stick better. I use the black adhesive so it blends into my lashline better. The lashes I wore are these.

Step 11: Apply just a litte warm red lipstick in patches. I still wear L'Oreal from time to time as they have some great classic colors. I recommend trying British Red.
Step 12: Blend into your lips using a brush like this one to make it more of a base coat stain.

Step 13: Add on an orange-red lipstick to get that great neon-orange-red color. I used Mirenesse Flirty Kiss for this. Blend and add more of the red if you feel like it needs a bit more until you get the right shade.
*Note: don't be afraid to try mixing your other lipstick shades to get a new color. In fact I highly recommend this as both experimentally fun and $$ saving.
Step 14: Lastly, I added a pinch of Benefit Sugarbomb for a little lip plumping effect. This color is also great for an everyday nude-pinky-shimmery look on its own.

Hope you enjoyed today's "Get The Look" tutorial! Let me know what you think. Will you be trying this out? Are there other looks you want to see done?
