Manon van Schagen

MUSIC | Miss Goulding

I’m not going to make this a standard item of my blog, but Ellie Goulding need some explanation and the story need to be told. As you guys probably know if you follow me on Instagram: I WENT TO ELLIE GOULDING, if you don’t follow me on Instagram already make sure you do this since there are some fun things coming up. But back to ellie.

I took the train off 16.21 from Schagen and I arrived on Amsterdam Central on 17.18, yes Amsterdam is pretty far away and I’m doing this almost every single day for uni.. I didn’t went straight to the Heineken Music Hall since I met up with a friend of mine. I went to get some Julia’s pasta, which was incredibly tasty as always. Have you already tried that? If you have been to Amsterdam and didn’t taste any of it I am going to force you next time.

In some way I was thinking that the line wouldn’t be that big, even though the concert was completely sold out. But there we came. We walked out of the Bijlmer station and the line was there. In front of the Bijlmer station! It was crazy. So we went in the line very quick and a few minutes later the line passed the station and continued all the way in the back. It was crazy cold because of that annoying harsh wind. The line didn’t took so long to be honest, I think we stood there for like 15 or 20 minutes and after that we could go in. So the people who worked there did an amazing job, luckily for us we could go backstage after that and everything was alright again. We got some scones, fruit, pasta, absolutely loved it and Ellie was so nice. Okay, nope. I lied. I wish that we could go backstage, but of course that didn’t happened. Unfortunately.

We were almost inside, but of course it’s impossible that there isn’t a failure anywhere since it’s still me who’s going to something. While we were there we saw that we could’ve walked a bit further in the beginning and then we would’ve waited for 5 minutes or even less. That’s a lesson for next time since I’m going in March to One Republic. When we were inside I was quite happy to be honest, no wind, no cold but an ever greater vibe than outside the building. You could feel that everyone was very excited to be there and excited to see Ellie, because in the end she was what we came for. After we dropped our coats at the first floor since it was downstairs way to busy, we went to the toilet (separate of course, the male bathroom since there was this huge line for the female ones as usual of course).

Then we went downstairs and searched for the hall, that was quite a challenge though. But eventually we saw some people walking into something and we figured out it could be quite handy if we walked after those people. And we were right! Yey. We had really great places and then the program began on 20.00 with Chlöe Howl. And girl, you’ve got a huge voice. I absolutely loved your performance. If anyone doesn’t know Chlöe Howl yet

go check her skills out here. I recommend you do, since she is really talented. I think that she kind of is a bit like Jessie J, but she has a different edge added to her. I loved it.

And when she ended her part on the night it took around 30 minutes before Ellie Goulding came because they needed to change the stage. And my god. What a show! She is so incredibly talented and I just love her sense of humor. I like the fact that she doesn’t takes herself to serious and just has fun on stage which you can really see when you’re in the audience. She made contact with every one on stage, including her background singers. They were amazing as well, really outgoing which made the atmosphere so incredible. The vibe was incredible, the songs were all incredible, the show was amazing and the total package was insanely incredible amazing and memorizing.

If you haven’t been able to go to her concert or you’re in doubt, I can assure you something. If you have been to Ellie her show, you’re really glad that you went. That’s for sure. And that’s what I am. Glad, happy and still in the concert vibe of yesterday evening, which I totally love.

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram here and here on Bloglovin’. And for now, enjoy the pictures who aren’t taken by me since I enjoyed the concert and made photos with my iPhone, so the quality isn’t that great haha.
