Cooking for dummies part one

Welcome my lovely readers, welcome to cooking for dummies with The Dutch countryside. Food! What’s there not to love about, seriously. Pizza, pasta, Chinese, Japanese, sushi oh wait no. I have never ate sushi in my entire live so far. So I guess it becomes time since I hear so many people drooling over sushi.

I’ve said in a previous post, that you can check out here, something about fashion and food. And if it fits together or not at all. But I’m not going to write it all down again since you guys can read my opinion about that in that previous post and otherwise this post is going to be a pretty long one.

But here it finally is the first ever cooking for dummies post on this blog. And to be honest, I’m already loving it. I made this after a work out which was quite hard, yes muscle ache all over the place. But when I’m done with a work out I love to eat, I always do but after that even a bit more. But since I don’t feel like eating a pizza after a work out I make some healthy shit everytime I finished one. And that healthy shit is even tasty.

What you need for two persons (my mom and I eat a lot, so you can always take half of it):

- 1 green, red and yellow sweet pepper

- 250 grams of mushrooms

- cherry tomatoes

- chinese noodles ( I used the Conimex ones)

- rocket salad (just add how many you want to, I’m a huge fan of this stuff but that doesn’t mean that everyone of you guys are haha)

- chicken ( a halve breast, but if you don’t like meat then just skip that part)

- Oil, I always use olive oil but you can use any oil you want

- sweet pepper powder, pepper, salt, chives

- a big bowl

- wok

- pan

First start with cutting the sweet peppers and mushrooms is pieces, like the pictures below. Yes, it’s easy. To be honest this entire dish is very easy, but healthy and tasty at the same time. I just love to try new stuff and sometimes it’s extremely tasty and sometimes it sucked, big time. No, don’t worry I won’t post those recipes. That would be just way to mean.

After the cutting of these vegetables is done you begin to cut the chicken in square pieces. When you’ve done that you need to make your sure you marinate it. Unless you want tasteless chicken, then just put it into the wok. You can also use a normal pan but I prefer the wok.

I made this marinate with a bit of olive oil, some sweet pepper powder, salt and black pepper. The art of making a good one is to just try it out. If you know what flavors you like just try those instead of these ones. Not all mixed together of course, but some. You need to put a bit more oil in the bowl if you see that the chicken isn’t covered in the marinate, so if there are still some black spots on the chicken.

After that put the chicken in the wok, no oil needed since there is enough oil in the chicken, usually. When you’re in doubt just add some extra oil. Because I rather don’t want to get blamed of a fire in someones house. Anyway. Put the peppers and mushrooms after a minute or two in the wok as well and stir it around every once and a while.

Make sure the water for your chines noodles is on the gas or electric plate, whatever you guys are cooking on haha. Make sure the water is boiling like it says on the label of those noodles, just read the label of it and follow those instructions.

Both the pan and wok are done at around the same time and then it’s time to get the water out of the pan, watch it! Don’t burn yourself with that incredibly hot water, since it’s freaking hot! Yes I speak out of experience of course, because I wouldn’t be me if I did something like that haha. So watch it.

After that you’ve done that it’s time to throw the Chinese noodles in the wok and to stir that a bit more. It’s hard by the way, those noodles are incredibly strong and long and that makes them annoying. But after that you need to make the plate look good so grab your wok and put the stuff on your plate and add the cherry tomatoes and the rocket salad.

And then there’s one last thing to say, I hope it’s eatable. If it’s not try to put a Conimex Sweet and Sour mix through it the next time, success guaranteed since that stuff can make everything, yes I repeat everything, taste good.
