Appreciation

Appreciation – auf Deutsch: Wertschätzung. Der Titel hat heute sehr viel mit meiner Stimmung am Tag des Shoots zu tun. Am Morgen war es recht kalt, dunkel und regnerisch, aber nachmittags sind dann die ersten Sonnenstrahlen durch die Wolkendecke durchgebrochen, als ich auf der 5th Avenue gelaufen bin. Ich weiss nicht was es war, die Wolkenkratzer im warmen Sonnenlicht, die fühlbare Ambition all der Leute um mich herum oder die leicht warme Brise: ich hab einfach realisiert wie wunderschön das Leben eigentlich ist. Nichtmal zwingend wegen New York selbst, oder wegen dem was ich mach, sondern nur weil unsere Existenz einfach unfassbar ist. New York und Mode helfen natürlich.

Abgesehen davon, hatte ich diese neue Hose von Armani Exchange an, die einfach absolut genial sitzt – hab sie jetzt in drei Farben. Obenrum hab ich mit der Kombination von Barracuda Jacke und Zwei-reiher gespielt, sowie die Krawatte etwas alternativ gestylt, mit dem dünneren Ende sichtbar.

Appreciation. The title today very much reflects my mood on the shooting day. It was a gloomy morning, a little rainy and kind of cold, but sometime in the afternoon the first rays of sun broke through the ceiling of clouds. As I was strolling down 5th Avenue, looking up at the sun-struck skyscrapers, feeling the energy and ambition of everybody around me and feeling the light breeze on my face, I just realized how much how loved life. Not necessarily because I am in New York and do what I do, just because life itself is absolutely magnificent. On top of that I do love what I do, so that helps of course.

In other news I got these new insane chinos from AX, which fit perfectly. Like – perfectly. I have them in three colors now and you’ll see a lot of them, so I hope you like them also. I played around with the Barracuda over the double breasted, and deliberately had the knit tie a little messed up.
