Back to school look number 2! Plaid is rad, mad for plaid, the plaid rhyming goes on. I'm glad that the plaid trend is coming back, it was one of my favorite trends because of the schoolgirl look that I always saw in the manga that I read. I was obsessed with the button up, cardigan, plaid skirt, and knee high socks that the girls wore for their uniforms. I used to be obsessed with reading manga about the shy girl that no one knew who suddenly became the love interest of the hot new guy at school (so pretty much any shoujo manga). To replicate the look, but make it more edgy and modern, I paired this plaid crop top with peplum pants. I love how peplum gives off a more curvy look; peplum looks great on any body shape! And to extend my short legs, I wore my infamous black booties with my pants tucked into them. To top off the look and to make it more edgy, I wore my bangles from Charlotte Russe.
