Quick Father’s Day Card

Why does Father’s Day always sneak up on me each year? With 3 kids, I have a bunch of excuses (end of the school year, end of the school year, end of the school year) but no good reason. Luckily, I was able to whip up a couple of these adorable quick Father’s Day cards and there’s still time for you to make one, too!

I started with a piece of colored card stock paper and cut it in half. Fold the piece in half to make a card. Make diagonal cuts to form the shoulders. My cuts were approximate, just use these measurements as guidelines.

Fold one side down to make the first part of the collar.

Fold the second side down to complete the collar and use double-stick tape to hold the collar in place.

Add a coordinating tie (I just cut it out freehand) and I added a pocket that is about 1 1/4″ wide and 1 1/4 inch tall.

It’s a great card to make with the kiddos.

You can personalize your own card with different colors and patterns (how about a sport’s fan tie?)
