Pinned it, Made it: Cocktails, Craft & Conversation

If you're following me on Twitter, you might have seen that I've started working with Pinned it! Made it! as a part-time intern, writing their newsletter and doing a few other social media bits and bobs. If you're not familiar with it, PiMi is an awesome monthly Pinterest-inspired party at The Book Club in East London.
The class includes all of the materials and help needed to create the Pinterest idea of the month plus there's always a signature cocktail on offer and some top class conversation with your fellow crafters to be had.
To break me in gently, I attended my first PiMi workshop last month. We learnt how to hand sew a real leather clutch bag and it was challenging, but so much fun. We could choose the colour of our leather, our zip and any embellishments we wanted from a table of various gems and baubles. The lovely Sarah and Plum were on hand all the way just in case we needed any help with the stitching or fiddly bits and for a couple of hours I totally relaxed and became absorbed in the task at hand.
For the next class, on Tuesday 12th November, PiMi will be upcycling vintage plates and decorating them with Lou Rota design decals. Rota's designs are usually found in the likes of Anthropologie so this is a fab chance to get your very own design and learn a new skill that would come in handy for future gifts and home decor inspiration!
If any of you lovely people fancy a fun night, tickets can be bought here and if you'd like to hear about future classes (the Christmas one is going to be a right cracker, if you'll excuse the pun!) and our favourite London hang-outs, you can sign up for the newsletter here.
