Christmas Gift Guide: Pretty things for under £10, £30 & £50

This year, I am organised like never before! I've actually started my Christmas shopping, but as usual I've bought more pretty bows and ribbons to decorate them with than I have presents. Oops.
I thought I'd put together a little gift guide/ wish list for those of you who are still crossing people off your list and in conjunction with Most Wanted, the VoucherCodes.co.uk blog, I've included some of the best discount codes available at the minute to help you get the most for your dollar.

  • A 6 month subscription for Oh Comely magazine is just £10 and if you buy before December 14th, you'll get £2 off and a free set of art postcards.
  • These beautiful notebooks from Oh No Rachio on Etsy are just £5 each, meaning you buy two!
  • I love Bliss products, the scents are amazing, but they are quite pricey. This mini Mistletoe Must-haves set from ASOS includes a full-size Fabulips balm and a travel size hand cream. If you're a student, you can grab 10% off ASOS here.

  • I am pretty excited that Lush have finally released the Snow Fairy scent as an actual perfume! It's certainly on my own wish list and is priced at £25.
  • This Illamasqua set (£25) is exclusive to ASOS and comes in my favourite orange red shades. You could even split it up to be two gifts if needed!
  • Tatty Devine is always a favourite and their La Luna brooch (£25) is really versatile. If you aren't sure if someone wears jewellery, brooches are always a safe bet!
  • I love a good woolly bobble hat and this one by Miss Pom Pom is bright and fun. It's also a steal in the sale for £20.

  • For someone who loves Onesies (that would be me) OnePiece make the original and the best quality. You can get 20% with the code 31PRETTYMUCHPENNILESS and there's a free delivery offer here which would mean this Mono Onesie would be under £50!
  • Whilst I was in Edinburgh recently, I visited Hannah Zakari a jewellery and gift shop that I've been shopping online with for years. These eye earrings (£50) are part of a limited edition run in collaboration with papercut artist Lou Taylor and one of my favourite designs on the website.
  • My love for BritStitch is big and their new clutch version, the Mini-Milkman, is a great price for something fully handmade in the UK.
  • Diptyque are the royalty of of scented candles and I know a little too well that their scents are an expensive habit to have. Their Christmas editions are always a delight and cost £45 each. The brand rarely have their own discount codes or sales, but if you buy from the Selfridges website before tomorrow, December 1st, you can get 20% off! For the code, see here.

Some of my tips for easier gift buying.
  • See what they watch on TV, what do they laugh at? Are there particular programmes they watch every week? What book are they reading? What albums have they bought recently?
  • Use the above to search on Amazon- if you search for something they already own, it will recommend similar items or series. Especially good for books!
  • Check their social media, have they mentioned something on Facebook or Twitter that they like, go back a few weeks to see if you can find any clues to things they want.
  • Check make-up and wash bags- is there anything they're running low on? Is there a new version or limited edition release of an item you already know they love?
  • Do they buy any magazines regularly? Last year, I bought my mum a subscription to one of her favourite magazines to make sure she never misses an issue.
  • If you hate giving vouchers but are really stumped for what to buy someone, vouchers for an activity are much more personal and don't feel like a cop out. See Tickets and other ticket websites sell gift vouchers which are a great idea for a friend who is into gigs or the theatre.
  • Sign up to voucher codes websites. If you really have no idea, they will send you emails with offers which might provide some inspiration plus a discount.
  • Lastly, ask them what they want. Really quite simple! We'd all much prefer a present we like so even a small push in the right direction can be hugely helpful!
