Billboard Man – Ardent Adviser of simple message “follow your religion and love everyone”

At one of the hardest traffic intersections of Mumbai, stands a man with a billboard that reads “Apne dharm pe chalo, sabse pyar karo (follow your religion, love everyone)”. He has been doing this for many years. Be it any kind of weather, he will be holding the billboard and grinning to everyone who passes by.

This sweet man is none other than Mr. Krishnadas, who has given up his family and livelihood to send out one single but important message to the world by standing every day for hours on one end of the Juhu Circle in Mumbai. He has dedicated his whole life to ensuring that as many people as possible see his message and believe in it. He is at the busy circle with his message held up high every single day no matter what. He believes that persistence is the key to bringing about the smallest of changes.

KRISHNADAS

He has given up his family and career to send out one single message to the world. Every morning, Krishnadas stands at Juhu Circle, Mumbai with a placard that says “Apne dharm pe chalo, sabse pyar karo (follow your religion, love everyone)”. He has dedicated his whole life to ensuring that as many people as possible see his message and believe in it. Krishnadas is at the circle with his message held up high every single day no matter what. He believes that persistence is the key to bringing about the smallest of changes.

Hailing from Gwalior, Krishnadas accidentally found his calling when he attended a seminar of Morari Bapu. Subsequently at a religious conference attended by some great leaders he found a goal in life. He wanted to teach all people what all religions preach but hardly listen. He understood that “to love all” is the common aim of all religion and people should understand this.

He always wondered why people still misinterpret religious texts leading to so many wars and differences. All of us would definitely agree with krishnadas that this world will be a beautiful place to live if we all respect and love each other irrespective of our religion, greed, gender, ego and many more factors.

Not only wars but also issues within the family, marriages and many more problems are caused since we forget to love each other. Mr Krishnadas believes that if all of us follow his simple message we can solve many of the messes in our life.

After the brutal terror incident that Mumbai on November 26, 2008, the determination to spread message of love and harmony increased. He could not find a place and finally he decided to stand at a prominent junction in Goregaon (a suburb in North Mumbai).
People started noticing him and he got encouraged. Some people stopped and chatted with him. Others offered him food. Some fraction even complained that he is creating nuisance and complained. But civic authorities realized the importance of his peaceful message and have been helpful. Slowly he started roaming around Mumbai with his message and the finally decided to make home his present location of “Juhu” junction.

This junction is a strategic location since it is passageway to Andheri (the heart of the film and television industry in India) from rest of Mumbai. Today Mr Krishnadas has become a kind of famous personality. Not only many people have noticed his hard work but also often talk and often share meals with him. Many organizations have come forward to support his cause.

It is a common sight to see many people chit chatting with him. Although he has been living in Mumbai for almost a decade, he felt it was a rather directionless existence. But today he is happy. He has figured out what he wants to do for the society and he his religiously doing it. He is an unsung hero who is influencing our life through his selfless dedication. Hats off to the courage and dedication. A one man army, whose message will definitely reach the masses. He has set an example that if our will power is strong we can bring about a change.

The above video titled ‘This Circle is Mine’ is a short documentation of a day in the life of Krishnadas. The film documents various aspects of his day, the sentiments of his enthusiasts, critics and people who work around the packed junction of Juhu circle.

I’m voting for KRISHNADAS’s #WillOfSteel and blogging on BlogAdda to help him/her get felicitated and eventually enabled by JSW
