Kat Von D Spellbinding Lipstick Set Review and Swatches!

The time is among us where all beauty companies will start bringing out their holiday sets!! I am such a sucker for kits and sets! While browsing Sephora recently I came across the new Kat Von D Spellbinding lipstick set so I ordered it instantly!
This is a set of 10 mini lipsticks that range from neutrals, to classic reds, and fun brights!
I love the black packaging with floral detail.
Here they are next to full size lipsticks from Senna Cosmetics and MAC. The Kat Von D mini lipsticks have .042 oz of product and a full size KVD lipstick has .11oz.

I love this set of little lipsticks! Most of the shades are all a cream or matte formula with the exception of Thin Lizzy which is more of a frosty metallic shade.
These are very long wearing. I wore these through eating and drinking and had no fading. Also when I swatched these and washed them off they stained my hand. I scrubbed and scrubbed but you could still see the stain!
All of them applied smoothly and evenly. Since these are more of a matte formula they can feel a bit drying on the lips. I recommend starting with smooth exfoliated lips, apply a thin coat of your fav lip balm as a primer, and then your lipstick.
I obviously love all of the bright colors. My favorites are Luv, Mau5, and A GoGo. Vampire is a really great color for Fall. Underage Red is a gorgeous classic red that I love! If you happen to pick this up, try Underage Red with Thin Lizzy on the center of your lips! It's a gorgeous look and will be great for the Holidays!
This would be such a great gift to give someone or a great stocking stuffer. Another cute thing you could do is split the colors up and give a couple to all your girl friends or tie them to gifts as an added little gift/decoration.
You can get this set at Sephora or Sephora.com for $39.
I definitely recommend you check it out! :D
