STS #48: The Crazy Bright Daughter

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted on Tynga’s Reviews. Basically you share what books you acquired that week whether it be physical or digital. Info here.

Lately, I feel like I’ve been doing everything except for reading and blogging. But that hasn’t slowed down the rate of new books that are being added to my shelves! One day, I’m going to read books at the same pace as I acquire them. This week, I have four books to share with you. Two of them are actually from awhile ago but I forgot to haul them. Huge thank you to Allen & Unwin, Penguin, Harlequin and Simon & Schuster!

I got You and All the Bright Places a couple weeks ago although I honestly have no idea when it was. I’m not sure how I forgot about them because I’m extremely excited for both of them. You has been compared to Gone Girl which makes me so happy. I haven’t actually read Gone Girl but I’ve read Sharp Objects, also by Gillian Flynn, and loved it. As for All the Bright Places, Penguin sent it with a post-it note saying “laughing at friends while they laugh at themselves.” Just thinking about moments like that makes me feel so amazing.

Crazy Rich Asians and Daughters of the Storm came to me this week! I’m already half way through Crazy Rich Asians and it’s absolutely amazing! The drama is literally crazy. Daughters of the Storm actually got put in the wrong mailbox at first but the owners of that mailbox were lovely enough to bring the package back to me. It really gives me faith in humanity. Daughters of the Storm is a historical fantasy. A genre I don’t read much but love to every now and then.

If you’ve read any of these books, share your thoughts! Don’t forget to let me know what you’ve gotten recently as well.
