Good morning everyone and happy
Worldwide Quilting Day!
What's everybody up to today? Are you celebrating by working on some quilty-related projects?
Or maybe you're spending the day in your jammies, shopping for your favorite fabrics online?
Today I'm busy organizing my sewing area (yippee!). I managed to pop out to the dollar store a couple of days ago to pick up some cheap, clear, plastic bins to store my scraps in and last night, while sitting in front of the t.v. (watching
House of Cards...) mum and I sorted said scraps.
who doesn't love going to the Dollar Store???
yesterday I made the trek to Ikea to get some much-needed shelving for the area:
Fabian wall shelfI also picked up this
NOT lamp for $12. I stuck it in the dark corner I press and iron in. (picture of it in the space to follow).
NOT lampMy mum has been visiting me and, in her spare moments, has been busy folding and organizing all of my fabrics. LOVE HER! My stash and area are looking great now. My one regret is that I didn't take a 'before' picture of my entire sewing area. I'm going to try and do that today while I organize and put up shelves.
I'm in the midst of a couple of giveaways here, too, so if you haven't entered them, head over to these posts:
