NOTD & review: Revlon Seychelles Sands Haute Rocks nail polish

Purchased by Me

When I saw G’s post @ Nouveau Cheap on this new Revlon Seychelles Sand Haute Rocks pebbled nail polish, I knew it had to be mine. Glitter nail polish in shades of gold, silver, bronze, etc.- the ones that go with everything- never fail to call my name! These limited edition Haute Rocks pebbled nail polishes have a matte, slightly textured finish- pretty cool (at least to me!) to have something like this at the drugstore, right?

I liked Seychelles Sands so much that it’s been on my nails for the last two weeks! Keep reading for more swatches & how it looks layered over different shades:

Picture on the left taken with flash so you can see how sparkly this is!

Revlon Seychelles Sands Haute Rocks pebbled nail polish (about $5.99/0.5oz) contains a mix of gold, champagne, a kind-of-chartreuse green/yellow, and maybe pink (?) hexogonal glitter in different sizes. The holographic glitter shifts from silver to green to light blue depending on the light- it’s quite pretty, and VERY sparkly. I love that Seychelles Sands dries to a matte, slightly textured finish, too (not textured as much as OPI Liquid Sand or the Milani Textures).

I showed Seychelles Sands worn over three different shades to give you an idea of how it layers: Sinful Colors Ardoise, a dark grey; Essie Turquoise & Caicos, a deep mint; and OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons, a nude beige. The last swatch shows just one coat of Seychelles Sands by itself- this goes mostly opaque in two coats. I think I like it best over OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons!

Like G said in her review, this will be best over lighter colors- the base is milky, so it doesn’t look so great over darker shades (like Sinful Colors Ardoise, above, which is a dark grey).

And one last photo from my Instagram! This was my most recent manicure using Essie Turquoise & Caicos- I love the color combination.

Have you tried this Revlon Seychelles Sands Haute Rocks pebbled nail polish, or any others in the LE collection? Thanks for reading and Happy “Hump Day”!
