TGIF! Since Friday is my favorite day of the week, what better way to celebrate than with a post about a GLORIOUS new makeup product?
As yesterday was my birthday, I went on the obligatory it’s-my-birthday-so-I’m-treating-myself shopping trip- my first stop was the MAC counter. It feels like years since I last visited my local counter at Macy’s! MAC recently launched a few gorgeous collections, so I wanted to check them out in person.
Number one on my shopping list was a powder blush in Taupe, part of the new Artificially Wild collection. Spoiler alert: don’t overlook this one just because it looks like a plain, medium brown. It’s a must have for light-skinned gals who have yet to find their perfect contour. Please keep reading for more information and photos!
As for the quality, I’m beyond pleased. MAC Artificially Wild Taupe blush is my first powder blush from the brand, and it’s beautifully in both pigmentation and wear. Also, if you’re heavy-handed when it comes to blush/contour, you’re in luck: it’s easy to build up the pigmentation on your cheeks (without risk of going overboard).
Swatches:
While a $22 blush isn’t a steal by any means, I think MAC Artificially Wild Taupe blush is worth a serious look- especially if you’ve struggled with finding a not-too-warm, not-too-cool, natural contour shade. MAC consistently releases intriguing- and a lot of the time “overhyped”- products, but Taupe is one of those staples that everyone should have in his/her collection.
Have you picked up anything from the MAC Artificially Wild collection? Please feel free to share your favorites (or non-favorites) in the comments below!
Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend! XOX
