sewing: bimaa at the pumpkin patch

back a few weeks ago, I managed to fit in some sewing for Kid’s Clothes Week and as per my usual KCW sewing, it was all about basics and comfort.

I made the girls both a pair of comfy sweats using the same self-drafted patterns as for these pj pants, and then whipped them both up a bimaa sweater to coordinate. have you heard?? the bimaa has been resized with a bigger range, from 6 months all the way to 12 years!! seriously, my girls would live in these all winter if they could. since I made these, I already made Kahlin another and have a few more versions planned.

both fabrics are from Girl Charlee, a bright coral sweatshirt fleece and a thermal knit (now out of stock, but you can find other thermal options here).

Kahlin happened to be wearing her outfit when we went to the pumpkin patch last week, so she was the lucky model ;) we had a little corn maze fun, picked out pumpkins, and made friends with a sweet old goat named Lucy. seriously, we all wanted to take her home.

and of course, there was the requisite pumpkin patch silliness.

don’t have the bimaa yet? you can get yours here!

happy stitching!
