I’ve always enjoyed looking at and photographing macarons rather than eating them, due to their ability to appear flawlessly photogenic on camera. I unearthed a lovely Royal Albert china teapot and teacup set I bought last year but never used (I think mugs are much nicer to drink tea with when it’s a rainy day and you’re in pajamas at home). These photos are the result of a lovely afternoon spent indulging in darjeeling tea, fancy chinaware, desserts and an occasional flower. I took all the pictures beside a big glass window in order to optimize the amount of natural light, which I’ve wrote about before in my post for Vogue Australia Spy Style on How to Photograph Desserts – do have a read if you always snap your food before eating it (I know, I do it too often).
