Furnishing Your Home on a Budget

If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that I recently moved into a new home. After 3 months of searching I found a beautiful home with lots of statement features – intricate fireplace in the living room, stone flooring in the kitchen and lots and lots of space. It is the ideal home for me and I couldn’t be happier. But of course moving into a new home also means furnishing it.

Furnishing a home is an expensive business. Don’t get me wrong it is a hell of a lot of fun and satisfying seeing it all come to together but furniture is expensive. I managed to secure a couple of bits from a second hand store located near me but I also wanted some brand new pieces but didn’t have a lot of money to spend. This is where the internet really is useful. If you look hard you can really pick up some beautiful and inexpensive pieces. So I thought it would be fun to put together a wishlist of amazing and inexpensive pieces. The majority of the pieces featured are ones I actually bought for my own home but there’s a couple I haven’t bought yet but are next on my list.

1. Twickenham Sofa Bed in red – £99 from Asda 2. Table and 4 Chairs – £90 from ikea 3. Black Faux Leather Bed – £59.99 from Poundstretcher 4. Clarice 2 Drawer Unit – £84.99 from Argos 5. Armless Chair – £79.99 from Argos

I’d love to hear your tips and places to shop for furnishing a home. Leave your suggestions in the comments.
