Beauty Loving: OJON Damage Reverse Shampoo & Conditioner

If you've been reading this blog for a while you'll know I have a fondness for colouring my hair. The effect a colour change can have on the hair is astounding. I have tried most of the colours of the rainbow at this point. Currently my hair is blue and purple. But all this bleaching and colouring can play havoc on my hair.

So I went on the hunt for a shampoo/conditioner combo that will help repair my hair and leave it soft and manageable. I'd heard such great things about OJON so I decided to give their damage reverse shampoo and conditioner a try.

Like all their other products the damage reverse line contains Ojon Oil.

"OjonTM oil - Known as "nature's golden elixir", this now-legendary oil is rich in essential lipids similar to those in unprocessed, virgin hair. Found only in the rainforests of Central America and harvested and extracted by hand from the nuts of the fragrant Ojon tree, this amazing beauty secret has been used for centuries to restore perfect health and vitality to "hair broken by the blazing sun".

It is also SLS free so none of those little nasties, and it contains Wheat Proteins and creamy coconut. Ojon claims that this product will help repair damaged hair. A bold claim but does it live up to the hype.

I love Shampoos that lather up nicely, I just don't trust ones that don't. This one lathers up well and has a subtle almost herbal scent. They claim that this lather helps repair the hair while in the shower. My hair definitely felt softer after using this and that's even before I applied the computer. The conditioner smelt similar to the shampoo and gave my hair unrivalled softness compared to all the other conditioners i've tried. My hair tangles easily but the comb glided through my hair effortlessly.

But the true test will be how my hair looks after blow drying and straightening. This area didn't disappoint either. Frizz is my hairs enemy but after using this I was almost totally frizz free. My hair felt softer and more manageable and my hair stayed straight for longer than it usually does. Even a spot of rain (which usually makes my hair frizzy) didn't unleash the frizz. So all in all my Ojon experience has been a good one. Next on my list is their rare blend oil.

Have you tried OJON?
