I have always loved things that have a sparkle to them. Glitter, shimmer, sequins, you name it. I love it. I remember in college, I used to wear glitter makeup ALL. THE. TIME. Don’t judge too much, glitter eyeshadow was totally all the rage in 2003.
Yes, I totally quasi-matched Lilly for church on Sunday and knew that we had to take pictures. This is actually her Christmas dress and it still fits her! Huzzah! Gold is a color you can wear year round (in my humble opinion) and sure, our outfits COULD look Christmas-y if you really wanted them to, but I think they’re fun for any time of year.
Plus, if anyone fusses at us, I was just going to say we are celebrating Christmas in July. AMIRIGHT?
I tried this Lilly Pulitzer top on in the store when it came out back in January or something like that and I fell in LOVE with it. It’s one of those tops that is “okay” on the hanger, but once you put it on, it’s just gorgeous on. Well, I didn’t want to drop $168 for it at the time, even as pretty as it was.
I was out running errands a few weeks ago and stopped by the Belk at Crabtree Mall in Raleigh and they have a Lilly Pulitzer section there. Well, I saw the shirt, it was the only one left, it was in my size… AND it was 50% off. It was meant to be. I am so glad I got it! It was another instance of patience paying off. It is a shirt I KNOW I’m going to wear A LOT.
Side note: She loves it when her daddy swings her around…

Welcome to the new, revamped Funday Monday link up! After two years, we decided to rename our link-up to something we felt was a better fit.
Welcome to Let it Shine! Why the name? Because, we want this link up to be just that: your chance to let it shine! We will be sharing our favorites each week here, AND on social media!
