I’m very much in a place in my style right now where I’m WAY more willing to take style risks than I was before. I have no idea what’s gotten into me! But seriously… when I look back at pictures of me in college, or the few years after college, or even the first year I recorded my outfits on the blog, my style has changed so much.

I used to pretty much only be drawn to “preppy” and “classic” looks. I never really branched out. And for some reason, over the last six months to a year I’ve been stepping outside of my style comfort zone. I’m willing to pretty much try any trend or style at least once… within reason, of course!

Because, nothing is permanent. If I don’t like it or if I feel like it doesn’t work for me, I don’t have to wear it. Right? Right.

So, because of that, I feel like I’m much more of a style chameleon than ever… one day I may go preppy while the next day I’ll go more boho and then the next day I’ll go more rustic and then the next day I’ll go more edgy. Style is FUN. It should be a way to express yourself and try new things!

To be honest, I don’t think I would have ever thought I could pull off a sweater that the entire front is faux leather… but now, this top from White Plum is easily one of my favorites. I wore it to the fall meet up a few weeks ago and got compliments on it ALL night. My husband also LOVES it, which you know means it’s a winner.
