FO Outtakes: Ninja Turtle Edition

www.knittedbliss.com

For knitters, it’s a well-known moment. You finish your precious knit, the one you’ve been slaving away for hours, for weeks. You adjust it, feel good about the fit, then turn to whomever you live with and say, “what do you think?”

So when I played out this very typical scene in my own home, Guy sort of chuckled and said, “you look like a ninja turtle.”

Okay, it’s big and green, and the back shape is a little turtle shell-like, I can see that. So we decided to have a little fun with that:

While I found the big stick lying around, we added the blue Michelangelo Leonardo (apparently my memory of TMNT isn’t as good as I thought it was- even though I remember being really into them when I was a kid!) mask post-production. I don’t just walk around with that sort of thing in my pocket. But maybe I should. Props are fun, right?

Those were the only two where I was hamming it up deliberately. This next one didn’t work because I as clearly over-channeling my inner glamourous supermodel:

It’s not an unflattering photo, it’s just waaaay too much. There’s glam photos, and then there’s overkill. This is definitely the latter. This next one is okay, but when I’m laughing really hard, it’s the opposite of the overkill shot above. After all, it’s good if you can see molars in a photo, right? And eyes all crinkled up into small little caterpillars? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

Those are this knit’s outtakes, I hope you had a laugh!
