Glazed Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies

Have you ever been invited somewhere last minute or got the call that guest are coming over shortly? Well, here is a recipe that my mom used to make all the time, and it takes about 30 minutes to prepare, and it’s a given crowd pleaser..

Emilee and I made these on Saturday to bring over to Nick’s for football. They lasted about twenty minutes on the table before they disappeared. They were so good and simple to make. The only downfall is that they are extremely addicting. They’re the prefect football appetizer and go well with a frosty beer. I’ve made these every year since I was a kid during the fall.

If you are having a football brunch, you can replace the little smokies with sausage links and serve them with eggs and waffles.

Ingredients: *1 1/2 tablespoons of butter (or olive oil), *1 package of bacon, *2 packages of beef little smokies, *1/2 cup of light brown sugar, and *2 tbsps honey.

-Wrap the little smokies in one layer of bacon and add them to a greased baking dish.

Melt the butter and mix it into the bowl with the brown sugar.

-Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the little smokies. Use your fingers and massage the brown sugar into the little smokies. After massaging the brown sugar into the smokies, add a drizzle of honey over the top.

Bake the smokies in the oven for 22-24 minutes at 350 degrees.

If you have a large group coming over, you better make more because they won’t last very long! You can add toothpicks into the smokies to make it easier to serve.

If you want to go the healthier route, I made turkey bacon wrapped turkey smokies for last year’s Super Bowl. You can find the recipe here!
