Straight hair, Don’t care.

It’s not very often that I wear my hair straight. Quite frankly, my hair is getting very long and too thick for me to do my straight hair routine. However, every time I seem to wear it straight in my YouTube videos, I always get questions asked on how I got it that way. I have a list of videos that need to be filmed but this one jumped to the top when I decided to film this tutorial last week. If you want to know how I straighten my hair, my straight hair tutorial and a mini haircare routine update, then hold tight and hit the play button…

Mini haircare routine update

Kerastase Age Recharge £20.62 HERE & KTC Pure Coconut Oil £2.95 HERE
Once a week I have started using the Kerastage Age Recharge and coconut oil as a hair mask. I simple mix these two together with equal halves and start applying this onto the mid lengths and ends of my hair. This is something which I learnt from my hair stylist.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Shampoo & Conditioner £5.89 each HERE
when it comes to washing and conditioning my hair, John Frieda has well and truly come to my rescue. This Liquid Shine range in particular has made me hair transform into some seriously silky locks. When I first used this, a beautiful scent was following my everywhere I went. It was only when the wind blew my hair in my face that I realised this was this hair duo making that happen. The conditioner is beautiful and also has a shimmer to it – so beautiful.

Tangle Teezer £10.60 HERE
Where, oh where would I be without this little brush? This little contraption smoothes out all my knots with such ease and have already converted pretty much my whole family and all my friends to this. If that hasn’t sold you then I have spoken about this gem on my blog previously. Read my full review HERE.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Oil Elixir £9.99 HERE
To help with frizz, we’ve all been there, I use this beautiful John Frieda Oil Elixir which is so beautiful and clearly not spoken about enough in the online world. It has well and truly replaced my beloved morrocanoil these days. I also love using this on my curly/wavy hair days when I decide I want to have a lazy hair day – it works just as well.

bumble & bumble Thickening Hairspray £21.50 HERE
Because my hair is just so thick and weighs it down, I use this bumble and bumble Thickening Hairspray into the roots of my hair so give it that much needed lift and oomph. Although on the expensive side of things, I actually love this brand and want to try more from their range.

GHD Air Hairdryer £89 HERE
When it comes to blowdrying my hair, I will only use my GHD Air Hairdryer. This is one beast of a beauty gadget! Nothing has ever dried my hair so quickly and in my opinion, it is worth every penny!

TRESemme Heat Defence £5.25 HERE
One thing I will not forget to do is to protect my hair from the heat. I love this handy TRESemme bottle where I can spray each and every section so easily!

Cloud 9 Straighteners £89.10 HERE
When it comes to the actual straightening, I use my Cloud9 straighteners. They leave my hair feeling silky soft due to their ceramic plates. I had lusted for these for years and so glad I finally got my hands on them this year. Although now that my hair is so long, I’m thinking I need to invest in a medium sized straightener.

Kerastase Elixir Ultimate £28.40 HERE
Last but not least, I finish my straight hair routine off with this beautiful hair elixir by Kerastase. This one is specifically for coloured hair and I like to give it enough protection so that the colour lasts longer and my hair is feeling nice and nourished after all the heat was applied to it.
